Ending | Erica (2019)

Writing about the ending of games where you make choices can be a bit difficult and you’re always curious to know what would happened if you had chosen other ways. But it also great when the end is satisfying and aligned from what you were feeling while playing (and deciding). Erica, released past year, is a short game, around 2 hours, and since I finished it I wanted to play it again and try something different but… I started again but stopped. Probably, I was try again, but for now I’m happy with this ending.

For me, it closes well the mystery and I feel like Erica is a different person from the one you find in the beginning. The unsecure and fearful of the past girl, faces her inner ghost, about her parents and the institution they created and worked for. Even her facial expression shows that. Here how my story ended:
