Gameplay | Freedom Fighters (Multi, 2003)

When The Division (released this week) was announced, I remembered Freedom Fighters, a third person action game developed by IO Interactive and published by Electronic Arts for PS2, Xbox, Gamecube and PC in 2003. The game, as new Ubi Soft / Massive game, takes place in New York, but this time in an alternate history where the Russians have taken over Manhattan.

I’ve captured this gameplay from a PS2 demo version of the game, never played full game even if I loved the demo. They were other times… I’ve played it again after more than 10 years and feel the controls really imprecise, a bit clunky, specially aiming… I’m getting old xD. But still liked the setting and some gameplay ideas, like giving orders to the IA controlled squad:
