When you watch Electronic Arts’ E3 conference you know what to expect (well, until this year, where there’s no official conference, they had a fan fest). You’ve big franchises (Battlefield, Star Wars, Mass Effect, Dragon Age) and lots of sports games. But past E3 EA took me by surprise with a game that never expected, a little game with a cute character, Yarny, which is made of… yes, yarn. The game showed beautiful landscapes (I can’t believe it’s developed with Sony’s Phyre Engine) and, apparently, a classic platform gameplay.
Developed by Swedish team Coldwood Interactive, the game is more than just platforms, it also relies in puzzles where physics play a big role. This can make some movements a bit tricky, but until now haven’t had major problems. Here the first level of the game, things get more complicated later:
